The region of Trulli' Murge, the Valley of Itria, is strewn with these typical houses called trulli.
In lands or in the villages, there are everywhere : stone constructions, circulars with conical roof.
Alberobello has a whole district of these houses which most were built in the XVIth, although older origin.
It is one of the tourist villages of the region, the trulli being often transformed into shops for souvenirs.
Many villages of the surroundings are at least also charming, but with constructions more traditional.
Among them, Locorotondo and especially Ostuni, the "white town", where all the buildings are painted in white.
