Reggio di Calabria had knew several earthquakes, so the old town is not preserved.
It is close to Sicily, which is separated by the Messina channel.
The most interesting in Reggio is maybe its archaeological museum about the ancient Great Greece. Particularly, one can see two bronze statues of Greek warriors from the Vth BC found during the marine excavations.
