The Cinque Terre are a part of the Riviera di Levanto eastward from Genoa.
This area is characterized by culture in terraces, on hillside plunging towards the sea, supported by thousands of kilometers of walls to allow the cultures of olive-trees, of vines, citrus fruits…
The area was declared to world heritage of UNESCO.
The Cinque Terre ("Five Grounds") correspond to the 5 wedged villages which are: Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore.
The villages can be discovered by the train, it also exists very beautiful paths which connect them.
