Founded during the Roman empire as Portus Delphini, Portofino integrated the republic of Genoa in the XIIIth century.
It is today a tourist resort "grande classe" where its marina compared in its time by Maupassant to a crescent of moon, is now decorated by some yachts.
Its peninsula is a beautiful regional natural park that one can discover by foot.
