Turin is the capital of Piedmont region, an economic important city, seat of FIAT company, with a cultural inheritance in the centre and its surroundings.
The Alps mountains form the north and the west of the area, with in particular the park of the Great Paradise. Vast agricultural plains extend towards the east and many hills towards the south.
