Gubbio is a very beautiful medieval city, with many old streets climbing the slopes of the hill to the foot of which recent constructions are built.
In the IIIth BC century there was a city inhabited by the Umbrians people, before it was colonized by the Romans who built there a theatre that reached us.
In the XIth century, Gubbio became an independent commune then integrated the duchy of Urbino in the XIVth.
